Welcome back to the Lantern Rouge Cycling Podcast, the recap of stage six of the Criterium de Dauphiné, the easy medium mountain stage where I said everyone will hold their fire in reserve because we've got two big mountain stages coming on the weekend.
You'll have Remy Rochas fighting against, you know, Matteo Verscher and Decathlon will do nothing.
This is one of the stages of the year, I think.
So yeah, if you want to watch it or watch the highlights, it's definitely worth watching.
But it's not that crazy parkour.
183Ks from Saint-Vobard to Crévalon.
It's got a flat 60K start, a little hill, but like rolling.
I think it's narrow roads though.
Then they do some gradual climbing to the Col de Grenier, more like
yeah 20k is four percent a little bit up and down then another long valley 60k is absolutely flat valley on big roads and then they do two climbs they do the code 12k is five percent not that hard either a regular big road technical descent so then they do this really fast technical descent across over a bridge left and the climb starts straight out of this bridge descent exit
This descent was really important for how the stage played out, I think.
And then the last part of the climb is 6K, 7.5%.
That is not scary.
None of those numbers are like 6K, 7.5%.
I mean, that is breakaway.
What is that?
It's not going to be big GC gaps.
This episode is brought to you by Morton.
Maybe some of the riders forgot to fuel properly today because we saw huge GC gaps all over the road.
And we had no coverage, which is like,
