They're really supportive.

And they said, okay, what do you want to do?

And I said, I wanted to be a teacher because they were teachers.

I knew if I said that they'd be pleased.

They wouldn't ask them any questions.

I'd be able to get a job.

So I moved out of London.

I moved to Oxford where I got a job at a school where I'd spend a few years before escaping to another one.

And do you know what?

For a few weeks, it actually did help a bit because I didn't do these things quite as much because of...

the environment that I was in as much as anything.

And I'd sort of said to myself, you've got to make a change.

But then quite quickly, I slipped into old habits.

School holidays came along.

I had loads of time on my hands.

I started gambling again.

I had some more wins.

And then I thought, okay, I can now sort of use gambling to get myself out of the financial debt that I was in from London, which was probably about 50 grand at the time.

I thought, well, what I'll do is I'll just gamble a bit more slowly, a bit more calculated.

I'll win 50 grand and then I'll stop.
