She had met this man and had been in a relationship together for a while.

And he was very nice and all the rest.

And then in 1998, then she told us that she was expecting a baby.

We were delighted and we were really excited about becoming aunts and uncles.

But at that stage, the relationship between Sandra and her boyfriend had broken down.

They'd split up, obviously.

I can remember them coming up every Sunday night and obviously her getting bigger and bigger and bigger.

Then the baby was born at the end of 1998.

We were really excited, naturally.

Unfortunately, she couldn't provide as a single mother and she didn't think that it was right to keep the baby.

And, like, she was feeling... Well, as I found out later on, she was becoming more pressurised from Anne to give the baby away as well.

She didn't want that.

She didn't want a baby in the house at all because, obviously, Sandra couldn't be looking after a baby and would be looking after her at the same time.
