Let's break down how to pass the torch without watching it burn to the ground.
First, realize that perfectionism is just a control issue.
Too many people think nobody else can match their quality.
Maybe they can't on day one.
But if you're hoarding tasks, you are capping your company's revenue at your own personal capacity.
Whether it's answering customer service tickets, running the social media or basic admin, growth only happens if you let go of the steering wheel.
If you micromanage, you kill your scale.
Second, train for 80%.
People don't scale by cloning themselves perfectly.
They scale by accepting that a team member doing it 80% as well as you is a massive win.
So instead of just snatching the task back the second they make a mistake, let them learn.
Make your team competent by actually giving them the reps.
Lastly, build the playbook, not just the people.
When you rely entirely on one superstar employee, you're vulnerable.
Standard operating procedures, recorded training, and clear checklists create a machine that anyone can run.
When your systems train the team, you finally have freedom.
Bottom line, you can't reach the top of the mountain if you're carrying all the luggage yourself.
Build the systems, trust the team, and let go of the trivial.
Because when you do, you'll rise higher than ever.
