And then it moved on to CD and then, and now obviously, you know, things are going to just disappear now.

But back, back then comedy was very different.

So I had to go and go to Tower Records and buy these things.

into central London.

You wouldn't even get it in your local area.

Yeah, you had to go downtown.

It would take you one hour to get there to go and buy a tape to listen to it.

Wow.

You know, so I grew up to that, to, who would say the biggest comic in the 80s in America?

We didn't really get an SNL

was never broadcast in the UK.

I think they tried it once, they did a few.

It's actually coming to the UK now, but they're doing a UK version of it.

So American comedy and British comedy is quite different.

That's why you don't get many British stand-ups doing the American version.
