The US president likes to see himself as a man who makes deals.
And on Monday, he was hailing his latest.
He announced that America would cut tariffs on goods imported from India and said that in return, India had promised not to buy any more Russian oil.
The trouble is, it's not clear that anyone's told India's prime minister.
Commenting on the deal, Narendra Modi welcomed the tariff reduction, but he didn't mention anything about Russia or its oil.
