This is a pretty wealthy economy and most people, you know, go better here than in lots of other places.
And most companies here are making good earnings and there's some really good companies here.
So in the very macro, pretty good.
But there's three things that I'm really worried about and Australian Super worries about.
One is productivity and the lack of growth over the last 10 years in particular.
One is inequality because if you don't have an โ productivity goes to the idea of the size of the pie.
The second is inequality, how well that pie is sliced up and if everybody can see a fair share in it for them.
But the third, and the most dominant for me, the most pressing is housing.
The housing market and the housing supply situation is completely out of whack.
And if we don't act urgently about this and prioritize it, we will end up in a world where it doesn't matter how big the pie is and how much your slice is, you won't have anywhere to eat it.
And that's making all of us feel very, very, very, very stressed about that.
So how's Australia going?
Overall, pretty well.
Where's debt?
Pretty good.
Where's the super system?
Fantastic.
Low cost to deliver a very good age pension system.
It's got a lot going for it as a country.
But what are we worried about?
