And so the distinction had to come that we were not a race.
We were just a social event focused on health and well-being.
And until that got into people's minds, there was always going to be that little bit of a fight between us.
But we got over that.
And I would say around 2012, when the Olympics was there, that year, the GLA, the London Assembly, asked me to create a park run in every single London borough.
And we set about doing that.
And by the time we got to the end of 2012, we hit every single borough except one.
And so that was the beginning of, I suppose, us going to find venues rather than venues, people writing to us and saying, please, can I have one?
And that, I think, was the beginning of the change in the attitude of let's just grow as quickly as we can.
Let's get as many parkruns as we can.
And for people in the public starting to understand that we were a household word.
Well, I wanted to get a decent, decent one in the center of Sheffield in a park.
Yes.
It's in the park.
Yeah.
And you do a number of laps.
Three laps.
There are a few in the country that are even tougher than that.
Yeah.
And also down in Swanage.
