That's how they got to be a trainer, okay, an NRA instructor.
That was the first thing that most states sat down and put down.
Okay.
An RA instructor.
Okay.
What did you instruct?
What did you do?
I remember when I was younger in the early 80s, well, late 70s, early 80s, that I did some training at, I taught some training at a police department, mostly on how to draw and shoot, not how to respond to a situation, but draw and shoot.
Because most police officers couldn't do that.
You'd be surprised.
I had one police officer there they called Isprin 9 because no one would back him up.
So he called the Illinois State Police, their 9 channel, get back up.
In one situation, fired 16 rounds out of a Model 59 without hitting anything.
No, not in a 15.
Yeah.
Fired 16 rounds.
Didn't hit anything.
That's when they called me to... Well, what they did was they got in touch with a gun shop that I was... The gun shop sent me.
We talked and went to their range and individually taught people to draw and fire from a service holster.
