Nobles offered the same reasons at his trial a year later, but the jury didn't buy it.

The trial lasted more than a month, and when it was over, it took the jury of eight women and four men less than three hours to reach its decision.

The verdict?

Guilty.

The sentence?

Death.

Then, before he was led away to death row, Jonathan Nobles did something nobody expected.
