That's going to be hard to shake.
But if you're honest and if you're impartial over the last few years, the Rockets were always near at worst average and always near the top.

That's usually when owners save money because they're not bringing in money because the team's tanking.
They've bought second-round picks.
They've taken salary dumps or second-round picks, which are the small things that you can do as an ownership group to help the team while the team's bad.
They've paid big bucks for head coaches.
You know, now they are paying the luxury tax for a team that very clearly isn't worth it.
And when I pretty much guarantee you if this was back during the more years, we cut the legs from teams that were better than this then and we're not doing it now.
So clearly...
There's been a learning curve there, and there's obviously the factor of having guys from an ownership group, having the guys running the team that you trust, and they are your administration, and obviously matters as well.
But I don't think you can reasonably say Tillman and the ownership group has been cheap for the last few years.
Basically, since Rufflestone took over, I don't think we have anything to complain about.
Quite the opposite.
