So I wouldn't do that if I was like, you know.
And obviously I've been approached by a lot of people who have told me the wildest shit, the craziest stories.
And I'm not going to go out and talk about them, even though I find the people level-headed and trustworthy in many cases too.
But that's just like stuff that is impossible to corroborate or very difficult.
And I know that it's going to get attention.
I obviously know that, but treating it as if it was verifiable, that's a mistake that I think a lot of people make in this space.
I don't know what you think about that.
There are many cases when they do that to journalists to make them fuck up.
And last minute, something changes because they came out with the information and then your source is no longer valid or good.
So my rule of thumb for that, I know I have a story and I know that
I have a feeling where I have managed to corroborate a little bit.
I like to have at least three separate corroborations of the same story.
If I don't have that, I don't put it out.
That's just the way that I think.
has worked in the past for me.
And I plan on keep doing that.
So I am a journalist, I am going to keep using anonymous sources.
But I do try to be very careful because yeah, there's a lot of like false information that is just fed to people.
And they run with it because they trust their source initially.
But you know, sometimes those those sources are just placed there to fuck with you.
