When we asked the scouts about Allen, I mean, the Chiefs really loved his energy and really feel like he has good makeup and a player who's going to work.

But again, yeah, everything that you're mentioning, 5'11", the 40 time, you know, a little bit slower, really strictly a slot guy.

And so I was also left wondering, like, do we really feel like this player is

is going to be an impact player within the NFL.

I was a little bit confused, but again, we'll see how it all plays out when you factor in the undrafted free agents.

Yeah, I found it very interesting.

I never anticipated the Chiefs non-quarterback at any point in the draft.

Even considering that Justin Fields is here, I think it does provide competition for that number two role.

And I wonder, was there a greater feel of need because

you are uncertain about Patrick Mahomes for week one and you want to have the best possible quarterback and competition pushes each other, you know, that type of thing.

I also think like last year, we didn't really get to see Gardner Minshew, but I just wonder how effective he would have been anyway.

We know what production really fell off when you got to the third and fourth string quarterbacks.

But they, they, at some point along here, you know, as Mahomes became 30, 31 and he's entering that, that age,

they went from having an older veteran backup quarterback to a younger guy that they like, you know, and we've seen other teams in previous eras, you know, where they have a backup quarterback and they develop them and maybe flip that guy for a pick, you know, in the future.

And so I think there's a lot of reasons that you could point to, but like, yeah, I mean, I think this was as unexpected for me as it was everybody else.

I think it makes the 53-man roster projection very interesting.
