Morning, Gerard.
I was initially intending to talk about the way in which the first two years of Scott's tenure have been whitewashed, but I think it's probably more relevant to discuss that fascinating interview that you did with Jordan Lewis yesterday, because I've long held the theory that Sheedy had essentially manipulated
um, Essendon into appointing James Heard because he knew that James Heard would pull apart a, uh, an executive recruitment process, which is what the coaching, that coaching process, um, from 2022 was.
I thought it was completely fascinating that Jordan Lewis said that, that Brad Scott had to be, he, he came late to the process.
He never actually properly participated in it, but you know, um,
I can't actually prove that right now.
But he said that Brad Scott had to be convinced that he wanted to get back into coaching.
And it sort of leaves me questioning how on earth it could be that the person who needs to be convinced to get back into coaching could have presented as a more impressive candidate than the man who participated in the process and who, according to one of the members of the coaching committee, what were his words?
You know, if I'm being honest, he was seriously impressive.
And if I'm being honest, I can see him coaching again.
And then there was this last bit that he said, which seemed to me to be the justification for why it was that Scott was recommended to the board.
And that was essentially that it was time to move on.
So in fairness to Welsh and Eston, who are just doing a horrendous job of taking a position on anything at the moment,
They seem to have been stuck with a coach, the result of a process that recommended him for the completely wrong reasons.
Anyway, thanks for that.
Good, mate.
How are you?
I'm good.
