So you end up with this circular system where we have to be there to consume this stuff.
Otherwise, their world collapses.
Maybe that's real.
Maybe that's not.
It's probably more realistic than not at this stage, I think, really.
Oh, that's an even harder question.
I'm naturally a pessimist.
And whenever I've seen humanity interact with something new, it tends to be destructive from the other side of things.
So if we've then got something we've created that's much better at being us than us, then
the chances are that it will treat us the same way we've treated Indigenous groups, the planet, the oceans, etc.
So I guess I'm more on the pessimistic side of things.
But who knows, some great mistake might be made that saves us.
It would be nice to think that.
I think
When you look at humanity, I think it's 51% good, 49% bad, but portions may vary on day of the week.
And so at this stage, good still outweighs not so good.
And it tends to involve a lot of people having wars and getting killed and et cetera, et cetera, to make that happen.
So yeah, I guess I'm a little bit more pessimistic, but I hope we emerge out of that battle at least in something better than the zombie apocalypse.
I wouldn't change the book.
I'd write a sequel, which is what I'm in the, in the process of doing at the moment.
