I think he certainly feels ready to go into this training camp with momentum more than certainly he did a year ago when he was coming back from injury, getting to know a new staff, competing with a bunch of other guys.
I think Braxton's got his opportunity with this one-year deal, his second contract with the Bears, to try to put his fingerprints on the story.
We'll see if he's able to do so.
Obviously, he'll be working with
some good coaches to help put him in position for success.
I mean, this is the connection piece we're talking about with Ben where he's got this elite vision for how he wants football to be played, and then he can communicate it to players in a way that gets them to respond.
And so, you know, to hear that from a guy who's outside the building, obviously has insight to inside the building, but understands what this sport is about in the trenches and sees the special things that Ben Johnson's able to do with his offensive line, I think as I've gotten β
feedback from around the league in the you know year and a half since ben johnson took the job as bears head coach one of the things that became evident very early and has been consistent all throughout is like ben is one of these almost rare offensive masterminds who understands what the running game means to high level offense right and that's where he starts everything and the running game can't function unless it's got
