Chapter 37 and the Democrats hate Trump more than they love this country.
This is just a variation on that theme.
I mean, the shutdown,
will slow things down, it'll cost people's jobs, and it will lessen the good pressures to increase wages.
So I guess what's important as we move into the November cycle, Steve, is just to keep reminding people of how we got to where we were when Trump took over.
We were in one of the worst places we've been in since the Great Depression.
We had
skyrocketing inflation.
We had a recession on the horizon.
We had real wages, which were once again negative, meaning that inflation was outrunning the wage level.
And Donald Trump has turned that around.
In 2026, absent shocks like government shutdowns and things that could happen geopolitically, is positioned to be, Steve, one of the best years
in this country's history, it's pretty amazing.
It's all Trump policy driven.
I mean, the fountainhead is the drill baby drill policies because it's not just lower gas we pay and lower heating oil.
I mean, it filters through transportation costs for companies, fertilizer and food prices and the whole ball of wax.
We've got the largest tax rebate coming in history in
in April for the middle class.
That's going to be a tremendous lift to the economy.
We've seen $18 trillion of investment pledged and already beginning to bear fruits.
