It's needed because it's protecting the environment or it's ensuring good planning or, you know, all the various things.

Or has it gone too far and it is too complex to build big infrastructure projects?

What's your sense, I was going to ask you that, of obviously you work across the UK and Ireland.

What's your sense as to both the similarities and the differences in the issues, the problems, the pinch points?

And what is it that let's say the French or the Spanish do that little bit better?

Like specifically what is better about those systems?

And can you quantify that when you say a change of pace?

That's interesting because I think a lot of people, as you said, there's been a big national debate about it.

We have plans, we've had task forces, you know, the minister has made it a real priority of his.

But I think there is a sense of we haven't yet seen the fruits of that.

But it seems from what you're saying that perhaps actually we are starting to see the fruits of those processes.

And can you do anything to help there?

Leave aside housing, because that's its own big issue, and it is a big issue in so many developed countries.

It's obviously not just Ireland.

How would you rate or grade Ireland's infrastructure versus the other countries that you're familiar with, have worked in, have lived in?

Take transport energy water, let's say.

Because I suppose a lot of major economies, as we've discussed, have to deal with the complexity of the current day.

Everybody went through the financial crash, which upended projects and put stuff back.

So we've endured that as well as other economies.

The big difference for Ireland, I suppose, compared to a lot of its EU peers even, or the UK...
