It feels like a must-win game for Pellegrini.
What's the situation?
What's going on with West Ham?
Yeah, that lack of fight, as you say, a real concern for West Ham supporters.
James, as you said, go back to earlier in the season, they started off with a dreadful 5-0 home defeat to Man City, didn't they?
But after that, there were three wins and three draws in the next seven games.
including that win over Man Utd, which really stands out for me as a really fine performance, albeit against a Man Utd team that was struggling at the time.
We talk about what's changed since then because the form has just fallen off a cliff.
Lucas Fabianski, they've lost seven out of the last nine that he's not played.
How can just losing your goalkeeper have such a huge impact on the whole team?
Not injured.
Well, I guess the case for standing by Pellegrini, maybe if West Ham looked to cross at Southampton, Saints, it couldn't have got much worse for them really, could it, after that 9-0 defeat to Leicester.
And it just looked for all the world like Hattenhausen's time was up.
They've stood by him.
They'd obviously lost last time out against Newcastle, but a couple of wins before that against Norwich and Watford.
that really gave them a fresh impetus and maybe vindication that Hassan Hussle's work with them on the training ground which he's obviously put in is maybe starting to bear some fruit they're a side who will be well in this game on Saturday evening they'll be right in this game and they'll be really fighting for these points won't they
Absolutely.
