It was said that issues regarding ownership of the building, discussion with landlords, liabilities of different parties and insurance, all subject to some intricate and private discussions, and that the council lawyers are involved. So, again, the council has decided to defer detailed plans for the future of the theatre complex and arts and culture provision in Reigate and Banstead Borough, likely until January next year. I heard this from Richard Biggs, council leader, through to the Planet Reigate podcast late Thursday. It was a difficult decision, but sometimes that's what we have to do.
