Sie sagt mir, Peter, du hast eine E-Mail von der Boston Museum School of Fine Arts bekommen. Und so und so wurde ich akzeptiert. Und ich wurde mit einem Grant eingeladen. Ich war also auf dem Weg nach Boston und hatte keinen Platz.

Es war etwa drei Blöcke von der Schule. Ein kleiner Apartment mit einem Bunkbed. Ich war am Top, David am Boden. Er hatte ein paar Rekorde, ich hatte Rekorde. Aber wir waren wie die seltsamen Paare. David war sehr nett. Er hat immer ein sehr rotes Shirt geschnitten. Das ist verrückt, ja. I was a slob. I had green teeth. I smoked so much, my hands were yellow from the stain of cigarettes.

It was just a great honor to open up because no one was coming to this club where he was playing. Oh, he did one night and no one came. Well, yeah, he was booked there for several nights and I knew it was going to be pretty empty. We filled the place for him. And I wanted to spend time with John Lee. And I asked, you know, John, can I come by and visit you at the hotel?
