I hope it's not out of school and I hope he doesn't mind.
But many, many, many years ago with the Super League War in the battle of media for ownership of the game and that sort of thing, I was involved with a fellow called James Packer who was Kerry Packer's son and they were very much with Channel 9.
They owned Channel 9 at the time.
And after a couple of years when the Super League War was sort of settled and the codes came back together and the competitions came back together, I was sitting with him and I said, what was it all about?
Really, what was it all about?
It couldn't have just been about rugby league.
It had to be about this and this and this.
And I won't tell you everything he said, but in that conversation, he talked about what the future was going to look like.
And this is around 1998, 1999.
And he said, the power of the computer chip is doubling every 18 months.
He'd been working with the people from Intel.

a thousand times, a hundred times more powerful than what it is today.
And what's that going to look like in 10 years, 20 years, what have you?
He said, eventually your run, your life will be on your mobile phone.
I said, what are you talking about?
I'm looking at a Nokia with a couple of bricks.
And he said, your life will be on your mobile phone.
your entertainment, your information, your banking, your shopping, everything you do will be attached to your mobile device.
And this mobile device, and we used to see the cartoons years ago where people used to talk face to face on the, he said, this is all gonna become a reality.
