Phil, what else does the research that you read suggest for ways to reduce the environmental impacts from our food containers? Well, one interesting result that Alejandro and his colleagues found from their paper is that the use of the containers made a big impact the way that you wash them and clean them. And he told us that the best way to reduce your environmental impact is if you're hand washing, just use less water, soap and heat. I know it sounds basic, but apparently it makes a big difference.
