Dealing with those moments, you mentioned Stoicism.
I found this book, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, which I think was quite formative for how you see things in some respects and generally Stoicism.
I heard you say you're not acted upon.
One of the things you often find in Stoicism and other sort of teachings of that time is this idea of being flexibly minded in terms of being able to learn and being growth-minded and being able to evolve.
