And my dream was to be a waitress because I used to love the
ASMR of, like, watching waitresses, like, because, you know, with Chinese silver service, there was a lot of, like, dishing out of soups into bowls and, like, the clanging of Chinese soup spoons in bowls.
And, like, we used to have the very, like, now I wouldn't touch it, but, like, you know, shark's fin soups.
And, like, just everything was silver service.
And I just remember, yeah, being really transfixed with, like,
with going to restaurants and like, yeah, that was my dream to be a waitress back then.
So you were kind of drawn already to that world a little bit, even if you didn't know that's where you were going to end up.
I reckon around, probably around middle school, like year 11, year 10, 11 and 12.
So around, I always drew and then painting, yeah, started to do it sort of around year 9, 10 and then maybe a bit more seriously in year 12 because I did, you know, art as a subject.
That was definitely an escapism thing.
And I think there's just something so liberating to be able to create something out of nothing, like to look at a blank piece of paper or a canvas and to actually create something into, to be able to shape something into a three-dimensional form.
That's, you know, I used to just love the feeling of that.
Do you feel like that crosses over into what you do in the kitchen and indeed the garden as well?
Because I know you're an avid gardener.
