So it was after I divorced my first husband and I was kind of out and about and I was going out a lot.
My painting career was starting to have a bit of a trajectory and
I was just kind of in my element and I was just tasting sort of like being on my own.
I'd never lived on my own until that moment.
So this song is a song of like independence for me, I think.
I mean, the music that you listen to after a breakup, and particularly if it's a big breakup like a divorce, that stays with you forever, doesn't it?
It almost becomes an anthem for rediscovering who you are.
