He's got to submit himself as a very good left tackle this year.
I certainly think he's capable of it.
But with the questions at Jalen Moore on the right side, Kingsley Sumatia showing some promise.
I think he's good, not great.
But you can't have two tackle question marks going into the year with Patrick Mahomes coming off this ACL injury.
Simmons needs to be said it and forget it, which they treated him that way last year when he was on the field.
He was on one of the higher island rates of any tackle in the league.
But that way you can shade Jalen Moore to the right side.
I know a lot of people wanted the Chiefs to take a tackle with pick nine possibly.
But if you can โ every offensive line has a weakest link, and if Jalen Moore is your weakest link, I think you can get by.
Oh, it's tough.
It's hard for me because I really loved Reuben Bain and pretty much every piece of content that's come out about Reuben Bain since being drafted, like him walking out, grabbing the hat, no emotion, wearing the Warren Sapp jersey to rookie camp, picking the Bain style face mask like Bain from Batman.
I mean, I really loved Reuben Bain.
But I will go back to something we talked about a little bit ago.
We were just talking about, hey, like the Chiefs are doing a good job of avoiding some of these character questions.
Reuben Bain had some questions to answer.
And you were still betting on an outlier with that arm length.
I think Mansour Delane probably has a chance to be one of the safer picks in the top 10, where this is the best corner in the class, has a skill set that the Chiefs will really like.
And I think that there's a chance that they did a great job of mitigating risk there.
Is it possible that Reuben Bain has a higher ceiling?
