But I managed to quit in my late
20s early 30s when my dad died of smoking so I did it as a tribute to him and I've been off the fags ever since which is a good thing in my job eh well yeah was it difficult to do it was it really was but you know it's just about sticking with it and the best thing I did was get support from a stop smoking service you know if you've got someone advising you and rooting for you like that then it is possible and lots of people do it every year and well done to them
Oh, God, you'd have a job hypnotising.
Some people say I'm hypnotised all the time with a glazed look in the eye.
No, I just used gum and patches.
And of course, vaping wasn't really a thing back then for me.
So, but yeah, I mean, vaping is not risk free, but it does help a lot of people quit vaping.
I did it with patches and gum and an awful lot of willpower.
I've really enjoyed listening to people care and what an amazing range of stories.
You know, people have been talking about focusing on the positive aspects of not smoking.
Sheena's story was just amazing, wasn't it?
I mean, what an awesome woman who's done so much in her life.
And it was heartbreaking to hear her talk about the health problems now she's facing.
And then you had people like Sharon who are just determined to stay off the cigarettes no matter how hard it is.
So I thought it was wonderful listening to them.
