AI won't replace that necessarily.
The big one is data analysis.
So one example of my own research, we had a thing with these guys in Edinburgh.
It took this guy about 10 minutes to use AI to assess the data he generated for us.
It would have taken, I'd say, a day to analyse all the data with a human being, you know.
So again, we're seeing a speeding up of data analysis.
Okay, here's the big question for you.
Nuclear fusion is always 10 years away.
Can AI do anything about that?
Well, in Camilla, her piece, she says, where will be the benefits of AI?
If AI can crack nuclear fusion, that'll be a massive contribution to humanity with a cheap supply of power forever, right?
Now, you're right, though.
Humans, it seems to be 10 years away.
AI should hopefully speed it up.
It wasn't quite the case.
If AI cracks nuclear fusion, and secondly, cures for Alzheimer's, can you imagine if that becomes a reality?
Then we'll have evidence AI is really beneficial to humanity.
Yeah, his worry is, if you read what he said, it'll just become another money-making racket that will make society even less equitable, is his fear.
And every technology, when it's invented, seems to do that, doesn't it?
