But it seemed so shameful when I was growing up, you know, this idea that you'd have this terrible bodily odour.
Well, it's going to be doing two things.
Primarily, and the best of them, are actually going to stop the secretions of the sweat, you know,
Those bad days when you got big damp patches underneath your armpits, ruining your shirt and very quickly producing a pretty unpleasant smell.
That should be gone because there are very good deodorants that will simply stop you sweating.
Now, clearly, you want to be careful about this because if you're
you know, going across the Sahara Desert or something, you need to be able to sweat.
It's incredibly important in thermoregulation.
But if you're just in ordinary situations or something like this, i.e.
a slightly stressful situation, and I know that I can come out of one of these interviews, depending on how it's gone, actually with a quite stressful, sweaty smell, and I need to go and have a shower.
So if it's a really good year and will stop you smelling too, it's obviously also going to mask.
There'll be some other odour there
that would just kind of help you and probably even reassure you.
Because if you're anxious, you're more likely to sweat.
Sweat carries those compounds.
And there you go.
And Matthew, do some people smell more than others?
Do we know much about that?
Not really.
I mean, there's particularly different genes that are related to how we smell.
