You know, seldom do you need it.
There are other ways to get your testosterone up.
And can that be long-term?
It's not just a short-term fertility issue.
You know, I've seen men who've been on testosterone therapy for a number of years.
And the physiological problem that they get is once you take testosterone exogenously, i.e.
from the outside world and put it in your body,
your own body mechanisms that are there to produce testosterone stop working because the signals that you're giving your body is you don't need to make this anymore.
And so that hormonal mechanism just shuts down.
And when it shuts down, not only will you then be reliant on testosterone therapy for the rest of your life, but you will not produce sperm in your ejaculate.
And these men end up having procedures under my care, such as testicular sperm extraction attempts, etc.
And there's absolutely zero guarantee that they will be successful because they've so drastically altered the biology within the testicles.
Yeah, so almost all the things that I've mentioned that relate to rectal dysfunction, so obesity, your diet, lack of exercise, lack of cardiovascular health, lack of strength training, which again maintains your testosterone levels.
So it's multi-multi-factorial.
Well, last year we had the men's health strategy, which was a very significant move in the right direction.
And, you know, a lot of people had been lobbying for that for a long time.
I mean, I think the Aussies have had one for several years.
So that sort of thing will move things in the right direction.
