Like, people give me shit for hitting Ventile like three more times when I knocked him out in the UFC.

Sometimes you just get caught in the moment.

Yeah, you don't know.

He deserved it, but I know I shouldn't have did it.

If I would have been in my right mind, I wouldn't have gave him.

Because it's much cooler to have a walk-off knockout, you know?

Right.

But I wouldn't have gave him those extras, but...

The day before, he pushed me at the weigh-ins.

And he talked shit to me at that rules meeting or whatever.

And he was talking shit to me like I was scared of him.

I was like, bro, come on.

I was in the zone.

Not only did he beat me, he gave me two of the worst ass whoopings I ever had in my career.

And so he probably thought that was in the back of my head.

But I think most time people get like that, you know, they get where, oh, this guy got my number, blah, blah, blah.

I didn't have any of those feelings.

I just knew, I always knew I could beat him.

But the first two times I fought him, I think the first time I fought him, I had fought Chuck Liddell 45 minutes before.
