I don't know why you have to refer to him at all.
Apparently the reason people are asking this question is because he was traded to the Jets.
which means he'll probably tear his ACL and retire soon, so he'll probably be all over soon.
I've been a Jets fan for a long time.
Nothing good happens to anyone who's on the Jets.
Anyway, but are you allowed to say, so it happens to be I got this, Shaila, many years ago, not many years ago, a few years ago, from not about this football player.
about, I got from a Talmud of mine who is a doctor, and he was the chief resident in a hospital, and one of the residents that he's in charge of had this very same name, this very same first name.
Apparently it's not so rare of a name.
So I asked Rav Shechtan if he allowed to say it, and he said, yes, you're allowed to say it.
It's just a person's name.
It is clearly not a deity.
It's not, you know, you're not referring to HaKadosh Baruch Hu.
And let me explain what Rav Shechtan means by that.
We actually just had Rashi and Parshas Vayera a couple of weeks ago,
where when Avraham Avinu was being visited by the Malachim, so it says, So Rashi writes, that he said to the greatest among the group, He was referring to all of them as Adonim, as masters, and he said to the leader of the group,
And if he's not going to leave, he'll stick around.
The other guys will also stick around.
And according to that, the word in the Torah is Adonai.
