Not a dime.
Not a penny.
Not anything.
I paid all the bills.
And that's the crazy thing about divorce, at least in a community property state.
You are not rewarded for being a supportive partner.
For me, it was you're building a business.
I'm in a position where I can take care of the personal side of things.
So why would I not do that in a marriage?
And I never was like, I'm paying the bills.
You're living in my house.
Right.
That came after the divorce.
And if like, you know, I think not, I think I would say that it's like, I know both of us were disenchanted with our careers.
I loved being a lawyer.
He loved me a chiropractor, but we kind of hit a place where we were plateauing, where it was like, let's see if we can do something more.
For me at first, I thought that I would do entertainment law and change the area of law that I was working in.
But then I really loved communication and talking to people and being on the mic and having these conversations.
And so I was pivoting into that.
And both of us were like, if none of it works, we'll go back to what it is that we did.
