Despite the struggles, though, she made the most of her life.
She was raised by her father alongside nannies and her maternal grandmother who loved her and her brothers.
She was surrounded by her farm animals and a family who raised her to develop a strong work ethic and resilience.
After graduating high school, Rosie really didn't have much of a plan in life.
She started work as a bank clerk, but she knew that she had a desire to travel the world.
First, she got a job in Austria before making her way to Australia in 1986, where she continued work as a secretary, then as a nanny.
For the years that followed, she worked, made friends, and traveled more.
She returned back to the UK for some time, but came back to Australia to live more long-term.
There, she settled in Melbourne, eventually buying a home in the suburbs.
At some point during her time in Australia in 1992, Rosie met Greg Anderson.
The two worked together at a recruitment agency and soon started a relationship that lasted two years.
However, after those two years, Rosie broke up with Greg.
Apparently he showed some concerning signs of being controlling and possessive and sexually aggressive as well.
So this definitely wasn't something Rosie needed in her life.
After the breakup for the eight years that followed Rosie completely cut off contact with Greg.
However, by around 2001, Rosie found herself feeling a bit isolated.
She was in her early forties.
She was still single while most of her friends were married with children.
It was during this time when she ran back into her ex, Greg.
The two got to talking, eventually rekindling things which led them to sleeping together.
