Talk to that person, let them know that you're a safe place for them, and take what they have to say seriously. And if someone does confide in you that they're afraid, you shouldn't just assume that they're gonna leave that person.

Again, I'm not pointing fingers at absolutely anybody in this situation, but just as a general statement, if someone is with somebody and they express that they're afraid, then go on to just stay with that person and post as if everything is normal. I think it's really, really good that Tawny didn't let herself be pulled away from her friends. I think it's really good for her that she still maintained those relationships and especially with her parents.
