Not because Boozer's a bad player.
I just think Wilson has the higher upside.
And if you know what you're doing, you are going to go with the guy that has the higher upside.
And understand this.
Cam Boozer's not great.
He could be a Hall of Famer in the NBA.
But it took me listening to someone talking about this to really help me channel the way I feel about it.
Because you don't want to mess up and get a quote-unquote bust, but also you want to get the best player.
So I came away with the conclusion that the best thing that could happen for the Bulls is that one of the teams, one through three, decide to select Cam Boozer, and you don't have to worry about it.
Because if they take Caleb Wilson before...
Cam Boozer comes, it's not the end of the world if Cam Boozer's the fourth pick.
But it would be highly, highly more exciting for me if Caleb Wilson is the guy that's left at number four because Boozer's off the board.
The idea is the raw athleticism is there, and can you refine it to a point where he becomes a highly skilled basketball player?
Can he get some of the Cameron Boozer traits that make him so... Fundamentally.
Yeah, so skilled as a basketball player.
No, DeBonts is the guy that a lot of people are saying has the most upside out of that top four group and can be a number one option on a team because we've seen him do it at every level he's played at.
He functions as a guy who can do everything.
But...
Yeah, so that's what every team needs on their team.
It's a nice thing to have.
