And let's say you took 5000 people under the age of 50 and you gave them ivermectin and you did 5000 people and you gave them nothing.

Almost nobody died in either category, so it was hard to prove.

So to figure out, since the death rate was so low for healthy people, you might need 10,000 people in each arm of the study to figure out what works and didn't work.
