I said, come on up.
The tower has a set of wooden stairs and a trapdoor in the floor of the room.
He came up the stairs and pushed through the trapdoor.
He was a little winded from the climb, but not too bad.
He was probably 50, 52, medium height, medium build, gray in his hair, short beard, clean-shaven cheeks, pleasant face.
kind of handsome in a middle manager way.
He smiled at me and he said, wow, what a view.
I said, yep, gets old though.
He laughed.
He said his name was Mark.
I said mine.
He asked if he could refill his water bottle.
I said, sure.
I had a five gallon jug in the corner.
He pulled a bladder out of his pack and filled it.
He drank the whole thing standing there and filled it again.
He said, I was not ready for that climb.
I said, which way did you come up?
