Then he went down the stairs and he hiked back down the south ridge and he was gone.
I stood at the fire finder and I watched him walk off until he dropped below the ridge line.
Nice guy.
A little chatty.
I went back to my lunch.
That was the first visit.
Three days later, on the 6th of August, he came back.
It was about 11 in the morning.
I was on the deck outside the tower sweeping pine needles off the walkway.
I heard him say hello before I saw him.
He was already about 15 feet away when I turned around.
He said, Hey, it's Mark from the other day.
