Feckin' dog, feckin' dog, feckin' dog woke us up just before midnight last night.
So we were in bed around half ten, quarter to eleven.
So you're in the first deep sleep and then woof, woof, woof, woof, woof from downstairs.
And there is something, and I read about this in a book about sleep, that if you're awoken from your first
cycle of deep sleep, it's very difficult to go back to sleep.
The man in the book explained it.
Can't put my hand to that particular book now.
But it's the worst time you could be woken from a deep sleep is the first cycle.
Now, the dog didn't know that.
He just wanted to get out to do a pee or a poo.
But as a result, it wasn't a great night's sleep.
And what happened was a song kept going through my head.
Yes, an earworm, an earworm.
