And we'd spoken to Nell's granddaughter, Tracey, earlier in the year.
You might remember Eileen, she was born in 1916.
in County Offaly.
She had 10 children.
Bernie is the youngest, 67, and Pat the eldest, 85.
She had 102 direct descendants still alive.
Her 10 children, 30 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
And she got a good send-off, according to Tracey.
She sent us a message via Instagram.
She got a good send-off over the weekend with a really beautiful mass.
The music in the church was provided by myself, my husband CiarΓ‘n, her granddaughters Tricia, Anne-Marie and Clodagh and her great-granddaughter Saoirse.
At the beginning of mass, symbols were brought to the altar by her grandchildren.
They were the papal blessing from the Pope on the occasion of her 100th birthday, her rosary beads, wool and knitting needles, holy water and flowers from her garden.
Her wish of having a presidential medal to give to her 10 children came to fruition as it was discovered that one year, a second medal was sent in error.
So all of her 10 children are now in possession of a medal.
