And eventually he just gives up.
Luckily, luckily for him, superhero Aaron Beggs arrives on the scene and decides to give him a hand.
As does Robson de la Vera.

Both of them get AJ up off the ground and they sort of run, trot, carry him to the line.
And this is Aaron taking up the description of what happened at the Boston Marathon on Monday.
And the crowd, because there's a huge crowd there at the Boston Marathon, it's one of the biggest in the world.
And because it was on the last stretch, there were thousands and thousands of people cheering on all the participants.
But when they saw this happening, there was just this...
outflowing of humanity and everybody in that moment knew what was going on.
Here were two guys who had run their damnedest, going for a PB, personal best, and they put all that aside and helped out a fellow member of the human race.
AJ Haradas.
I'm just looking at the times there.
Robson, who Aaron refers to, came in at 2 hours 44.26.
Haradas, 2 hours 44.32.
And Beggs had the slowest of the three of them, 2 hours 44.36.
