And I totally get, too, that managers are really sensitive that if they go ahead into this process, what does that do for their chair that they're sitting in?

Are they cutting off one of the legs of their own chair?

But it's the right decision.

I don't agree with some of the way the Rangers acquired these players, like the team they put together at the start of the year.

But I think what they're doing is absolutely the right thing.

And I think it stinks for them.

It really does.

I think Vancouver's the same thing.

I think Winnipeg's got to get there, too.

I think the Leafs have to get there, too.

Like, you have to look, what are we in the game for?

If it's to be a middling team, well, then maybe you don't have to do that.

If you're aspiring to be better than that, there comes a time when for the teams I mentioned, you've got to take a look at this and go, now's not the time.
