Like, I don't know that that was the most inspiring news conference I've ever seen.

No.

So, I mean, I'm sure... And I guess it could all... Hell, it all can always work out.

I don't know.

But...

I'm stunned.

I'm stunned that they are.

I don't think you can delude yourself into thinking that this team is close because they're not.

Whether people like Mitch Marner or not, you can't lose 100 points of creativity and say, oh, I'm glad he's gone and we'll just fix it.

Where are you finding that player?

Nobody should be fooled with, oh, this team A or team B or the Leafs have got $20 million in cap space.

So what?

So does everybody else.

The cap's going up.

Everybody's got cap space all over the place.

And by the way, there are no free agents.

So if you're going to get into a trading scenario, who or what are you going to trade?

There's not enough assets to trade forward.

So I personally, when I looked at the Leafs and, you know, they let Brad go and they were going to hire whoever they did, my thought was this is a time where you've probably got to spend a little time accumulating some assets as opposed to trading them off.
