He's a really good player, but he blew out his knee in December.
I think he blew out his knee early December or late November.
And he didn't have surgery, I think, until like two or three weeks later.
So he's really going to be a guy who's probably not going to participate in training camp.
I'm guessing he would start the season on that short-term IR, and then maybe you get something out of him later on in his rookie season.
But the point is, it's probably going to be a redshirt year for him.
You cannot go in to 2026 thinking, okay, we're going to get X, Y, and Z out of this guy.
So where does β like if he's probably a second-round talent, I have the Steelers taking him at number 76 in the third round.
It's a crapshoot.
Somebody might gamble and take him at the end of the second.
He might be a guy like Peyton Wilson who falls to the comp pick round in the third round.
You just never know where these guys are in their recovery, but β
I really liked him against Pitt.
He was productive before that injury.
And I think third round, especially with three picks in the third round, that's a place where you could take a gamble, guys.
Can you imagine Point State Park?
Where are the people gathering?
Okay, can you imagine the chorus of boos that would come out if they took Ty Simpson in the first round?
I mean, people in Pittsburgh know their football, Joe.
Yeah, I mean, I had them taking one with, what, their 10th pick or whatever.
