I just think there's a little bit too much of a risk there, even though, as I said, it's a very thin receiver's room at the moment.
and they could certainly use that help.
Yes.
I was on a conference call with Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network yesterday, and
He thinks the Steelers can sit tight at number 21 and get a good receiver.
He doesn't think they have to trade up to get a receiver, and he referenced this draft for the Steelers as a quote-unquote perimeter draft.
So he thinks it's going to be heavy on receivers and then cornerbacks for them because, as everyone in Pittsburgh knows, they spent a tremendous amount of draft resources โ
on the offensive and defensive lines in the last couple of drafts.
He believes, and I think a lot of people in Pittsburgh believe, that now it's time to go out and surround your quarterbacks, surround your offense, surround those linemen with good skill position players.
They have DK Metcalf.
They don't have too much else beyond that, and I think it's time to finally address that need.
Oh, boy.
I did it on a Tuesday, Austin, so you're really... I'm going a little bit too far back into the wayback machine.
Yeah, but I will say just another note on the receivers.
Jeremiah said yesterday, and we all know about the top four receivers in this draft.
There's four that are, I think, slam-dunk first-round picks.
Austin, he has 19 receivers with a first, a second...
or a third-round grade.
So when you think about that, depending on how many comp picks there are, that's roughly the top 100 picks.
So 20% of the first three rounds are going to be spent on receivers.
