And he's trying to be an evangelical, but he's not doing a good job of it.
And he was telling me that Jesus didn't know the day and the hour of his return, not simply in his humanity, but he didn't know it in his deity either.
because the Son's knowledge is limited.
He is part of the truth.
The Holy Spirit's knowledge is limited.
He is part of the truth.
And the Father's knowledge is limited, and he is part of the truth.
This is absolute fundamental denial of the Trinity, that the omniscience of God is a necessary and incommunicable attribute of God, which is shared by every person in the Godhead.
So just because I don't have omniscience and I can't plumb the depths and the riches of all the things that God knows, let's not jump to the conclusion that God has to search for more knowledge than He has.
That's a dreadful conclusion to come to.
But how can God be infinite in His being and have His being fill the universe?
And how can that one who creates the universe by the word of his power stoop to having a personal relationship with me?
That's incomprehensible.

Now, Paul here, unlike the Gnostics of the later times, makes a clear link between creator and redeemer.
There were those in those days who wanted to make a division between the God of the Old Testament and the Jesus of the New Testament.

He's merely a demiurge and that he's kind of a bad guy, that Jesusβ¦
reconciles and improves the attitude of this Old Testament sub-deity.
