is ensure that everybody knows what their job is to ensure that tourism develops well in New Zealand.
So there is a whole section on how we make sure that we're delivering great visitor experience.
Well, there's many different ways.
I'm always of the view that what we need is a great diversity of visitors coming to New Zealand.
So a valuable visitor has many different lenses.
For some, it might be the amount of money that they're going to spend while they're here.
For particular regions, they want lots of more visitation, right?
So if you've got a visitor coming from, say, Germany, they're going to spend about 40 days here and they're going to go to lots of different parts of the country, do lots of different things.
Well, people have been dreaming about a holiday in New Zealand for a long time.
They save up for it.
They plan for it.
And they come to really experience all the things that we offer.
I think they're very special, those visitors.
Well, I think what a tourism policy statement does that's really important is it clarifies the roles of government, local government, and the industry itself.
So what are the things that we're responsible for, like great visitor experience, building new products, et cetera, workforce.
And it says we are going to need to work together to achieve things.
