Emotionally passive is the phrase that I came out with.

There are only a couple that I have ever, well, one I threw out of the train window because I just thought it was crap.
And another one I just donated to Oxfam as I was walking past it.
But generally, I finish books and I will finish this one.
And I wouldn't say it's a stinker by any any stretch of the imagination.
I just found it unengaging.
And, yeah, I agree.
You know, in art, there has to be.
almost like a twist, an angle given to a realistic situation to make you go, oh, I hadn't seen the world that way before.
Whereas this, you know, it just, there's a lot of misery in the world and I don't really need it in my reading, to be honest.
